Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports when she was 14 years old. After training in kickboxing boxing wrestling BJJ and BJJ she had her first professional fight against Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she was just 18. Ladd became more confident after the win and fought 3 bouts in Ultimate Reno Combat. Her adversaries were defeated all by the start of the round. Ladd went back to WCFC in order to defeat Leslie Rodriguez through a unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia Babaeghian, Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia beat Aspen in a unanimous vote. The loss put a mark on her record as an amateur. Ladd won her next fight in a fight with Roma Pawelek to improve to a record of 8-1. Aspen became a professional in the year 2015 when she signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. The InvictaFC11 fight was her very first professional fight. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal, securing an 1st round TKO. She won her next fight with Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission. She then fought at bantamweight to fight at Invicta FC 16. Aspen utilized her expertise in wrestling to knock down McGill by TKO in the third-round (elbows & punches). Aspen then faced Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. Aspen fought Hoy with a catchweight (138.1lb) since Ladd didn't gain weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy until she was defeated in the 2nd round via TKO. Her final fight with the promotion, she defeated Sijara Eubanks by an unanimous decision in Invicta FC 21. Her UFC debut came on UFC Fight Night 118 when she took on Lina Lansberg. She outclassed Lina by using her ground and pound techniques which resulted in an TKO second round victory. She maintained her dominance as she picked up an even bigger victory against Tonya Avinger in UFC 229 with her next fight. Ladd was victorious in the first round and received the Performance of the Night Prize. Invicta FC's Sijara Eubanks was her opponent in the rematch that took place at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was Ladd's debut major fight. Ladd took home the night's fight bonus after both fighters fought a fierce back and forth battle. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie stopped Ladd's winning streak with just 16 seconds. in the 3rd round on UFC on ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. For a rematch, she fought Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. She lost the fight via majority decision.
